Chef Paul Mustacchio

Paul Mustacchio, executive chef of the three separate restaurants located at Cheng Du Restaurant in Westborough, was born in the United States, raised in Taiwan, and returned to the U.S. in 1985. Paul has always been a food lover, and that love of food has translated into a passion for cooking.

His first foray into his career as a chef was working with Kuo-Rung Tang, his parents, and older brother at the first Cheng Du Restaurant. He took the culinary knowledge he had developed, expounded on it, and used his experience to become a top chef. The early experience at Cheng Du Restaurant fed his culinary drive.

In 2004, Paul left Cheng Du Restaurant to broaden and develop his cooking skills. Eventually, his career led him to a well-known food manufacturing company, which catered to national chains. In that role, he deepened his culinary skills as the plant manager and eventually he held a position as a food designer. In 2010, Paul returned to his roots and the helm of Cheng Du Restaurant.

Today, Paul is the Executive Chef of the three endeavors at Cheng Du Restaurant: Cheng Du, 157 Bin (a wine bar and lounge, serving International fare) and Akamon (a Kushiyaki Grill, sushi and sake bar).
